Research and Skills Training for Social Sciences Graduate StudentsThe Bodleian Social Sciences Libraries work with the Oxford Social Sciences Division to provide a wide range of workshops within the Social Sciences Division's research skills and training programme. These often take place in the Social Science Library Information Skills Training Room and support Social Sciences Graduate Students and Researchers in key aspects of undertaking academic research at this level. This includes enabling participants to search for and access scholarly literature, online information and research data, as well as providing guidance on planning and managing the research process.
Research Skills ToolkitThe Research Skills Toolkit is a joint project by the IT Learning Programme, Oxford University IT Services, the Bodleian Libraries and the Careers Service.
Here, researchers can explore a variety of IT & Library tools and online services which may help them in their work. Although it has been designed with research students in mind, the website is open to any member of Oxford University.
Bodleian iSkills is a more general programme of workshops open to all members of the University and Bodleian Library Readers. Topics include: searching for a wide range of scholarly materials, keeping up to date with new research, reference management and bibliometrics.
