All University and Bodleian Reader card holders have a Bodleian Libraries username and password. This can be used to log into SOLO, the ‘Bodleian-Libraries’ Wi-Fi network, and library workstations and computers.
Your account details
Your Bodleian Libraries username is the barcode number on your University or Bodleian Reader card.
Registering your account
When you use your account for the first time you need to register and reset your password.
- Visit the Register page
- Enter the barcode number on your University or Bodleian Reader card and complete the reCAPTCHA to prove you are not a bot, then submit the form.
- Check your email. You should receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Follow the link in the email to create a password of your choice. Passwords are case-sensitive and should be at least 6 characters in length. You may not use your name as your password.
Once you have reset your password, an automatic notification will be sent to you immediately from email@example.com.
If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, please check your spam or junk folder. Your password will be reset within 10 minutes and can be used immediately.
Forgotten your password
You can also reset your forgotten password via the Register page.
Follow the same instructions as registering your account to reset a forgotten password.
If you are unable to find the email, we may have a different email address for you on file. Please check any other email addresses that are registered to you. If you are still unable to find the email, contact a member of library staff who will be able to help you.
If you need help with your password, consult a member of staff in one of our libraries or contact Reader Services.
