Inter-library Loans

For requesting items not available in Oxford

If an item is not available in Oxford, the Taylor Institution Library can normally arrange an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) or document supply.

The current ILL prices can be found here (opens in new window).

Books, articles or university theses not available in Oxford libraries may be obtained through the British Library Document Supply Centre or, in certain cases, when a location is known, by direct application. All requests to the BLDSC must be accompanied by the fullest possible details. Applicants (registered readers of the Library only) should make their request by filling in an Inter-Library Loan form (PDF form). Please ensure as far as possible that a copy of the item you require is not held in an Oxford library (bear in mind that SOLO does not yet give the complete holdings of every library).

For requests from abroad for items in the Taylorian

The Taylor Institution Library is willing to accept requests from other libraries for the loan of books or for photocopies of articles in books and journals.

The requesting library should send the details of their request by email or post (see below).

The charges for this service can be made in IFLA vouchers, international reply coupons or by direct invoice.
