Clinical decision support tool BMJ Best Practice now available to all OUH staff


OUH Trust Staff members now have access to BMJ Best Practice – our OUH Resource of the Month for June.

BMJ Best Practice is a clinical decision support tool, uniquely structured around the patient consultation, with advice on symptom evaluation, tests to order and treatment approach.

Steps to log in via OpenAthens
• 1. Go to and click ‘Log In’ on the top right of the page or just click on the link in the email below.
• 2. Select the ‘OpenAthens’ button and sign in with your OUH Trust or MSD student NHS OpenAthens account credentials. You will then be taken back to BMJ Best Practice.
• 3. Once you have logged in to BMJ Best Practice, you can create a free personal account. Your personal account details will enable you to download the app.
