The Latin American Centre is taking part in the Center for Research Libraries (CRL) Global Collections Initiative (GCI) pilot project.
The pilot focuses on Latin American collections and is part funded by the Mellon Foundation.
For the duration of the pilot, members of the University of Oxford can access GCI Latin American resources at no cost.
To search for Latin American resources, go to the GCI catalogue. You can then search by keyword or click through to the advanced search interface: http://catalog.crl.edu/search~S36.
The method of resource delivery will depend on whether it is held in microfilm or digital format.
Microfilms can be requested as an Inter-Library Loan for 90 days. The item will be shipped by UPS within five working days (international turnaround time). In order to request a GCI ILL, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting the title of the resource and the permanent URL for the catalogue record, together with any additional information about issue numbers, date of publication ranges etc.
Online resources can be viewed in your browser if you are accessing the catalogue on a device that is connected to the internet via the Oxford domain, including access by VPN from outside Oxford.
Articles can be requested by document delivery in PDF format by emailing email@example.com.
It is also possible to apply for on-demand digitisation of a resource on a discretionary basis. If you would like to explore this option, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions about this service, please email email@example.com, in the first instance.
