About this project
Towards Digital Collections is a suite of online training materials commissioned by the Towards a National Collection programme in September 2023. The core audience for the training materials are professionals working in the galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAM) sector, particularly those in small or medium-sized organisations, but with relevance for nearly every digital collection (or collection that could become digital) in the UK.
This research infrastructure project is funded to maintain, extend and improve and engage GLAM with digital collections training to unlock the latent research power in the UK’s cultural heritage collections.
We’ll be commissioning new content, running workshops and events, and working with the GLAM sector to adapt and tailor the resources to your needs.
