Explore the facilities available in our libraries to support your studies, research and teaching. Find a study space at spacefinder.bodleian.ox.ac.uk, or check the borrowing or remote services and resources available to you.

The new Space Finder tool makes it easier to find and book available spaces across the Bodleian Libraries or choose to Browse & Borrow - a service which enables you to access the collections and borrow items when a desk is not required.

  • New slots for study spaces are released seven days in advance, between 7.30am and 9.30am.
  • The demand for study spaces is very high and we ask you to make sure to book the most appropriate slot for your needs.
  • If you are looking for a study space, you may have better luck if you view all libraries rather than having a specific library in mind.

During the booking process, you will be given the option to request support in regards to access needs. You can find more about these services at on our information for disabled readers page.

When you come to the library, please ensure that you bring your University Card with you as well as confirmation of your booking. (Your University Card acts as your Bodleian Reader Card, you don't need any other cards to access the Bodleian.)

If you need to cancel your booking slot, then please click on the 'cancel your booking' button in your confirmation email to send an automated cancellation. If you need another slot, you will need to use Space Finder to rebook.
