Requests & reservations

Reserving books at the Education Library

If all lending copies of a book are checked-out, you may place a reservation, also known as a hold, through SOLO. (See the SOLO guide for detailed instructions.)

You will be notified by email when your requested book is ready for collection; you will then have five working days in which to collect it. Reserved books awaiting collection may be consulted by any reader in the library on the condition that they are returned to the desk immediately if required for collection.

Requesting Bodleian material to the Education Library

You can request material from the Bodleian Libraries shared Closed Stack (offsite storage for lesser used material) to the Education Library. This material cannot be borrowed but can be consulted within the library. See the SOLO guide for instructions. Twice daily deliveries are made, Monday to Friday, from the Closed Stack.
