The Bodleian Libraries reopen on Tuesday, 4 January 2011 following the Christmas break. The library staff look forward to welcoming readers and visitors to our historic buildings and to our academic collections. The Libraries will be operating on standard opening hours but please note that on Tuesday 4 January the Old Bodleian Library (including Duke Humfrey's Library) and the Radcliffe Camera will close at 5pm for scheduled maintenance work. The Bodleian Libraries Winter Exhibition, Shelley's Ghost: Reshaping the Image of a Literary Family is open to visitors, free of charge, and tells the story of one of the Romantic Period's most prominent literary families with manuscripts and personal items from the Bodleian's Special Collections as well as items loaned from the Pforzheimer Collection from The New York Public Library.
