Document supply

If the book or journal article you need is not available in the Bodleian Health Care Libraries, the Bodleian Libraries Document Supply service should be able to obtain it for you from another library

About the Service

The Bodleian have launched an online form which makes it easier to place inter-library requests from anywhere

Copies of articles/chapters will be sent by email and books will be delivered to the library of your choice for consultation.

How do I access the form?
The form is accessed via, and by logging in using your Oxford Single Sign On (for University members) or Bodleian Libraries login (for HCL members).

How do I pay for a request?
A photocopy (up to 50 pages in length) or book and journal loans are currently charged at the rate of £5.00 per item. Payments are made using your PCAS account, which is currently used for printing, copying and scanning.

How do I add credit to my PCAS account?
To add credit to your PCAS account please visit:

Your PCAS login details are the same as your Bodleian Libraries account – the username and password you use to access University PCs in the library, SOLO, ‘Bodleian Libraries’ wifi, and now also the online inter-library loans form.

Making several requests
If you are making a quite a few requests at once, and would rather not enter each one into the online form, you are able to email your requests

Simply list the articles you require in the email, the team will then get back to you with a copyright form to sign so that the requests can be processed. Please also provide your PCAS username so that funds can be subtracted from your account.
