Latest service changes
Most of the library buildings and reading rooms have now reopened to staff, students and Bodleian Reader Card holders.
Closed stack deliveries
Closed stack deliveries from the Book Storage Facility (BSF) have resumed for some libraries. To make use of this resource, check SOLO for availability in your chosen library, ensuring you have booked a seat in the reading room beforehand.

Access to four million public domain items remains available directly from the HathiTrust website and via clear links provided on relevant records in SOLO. Readers can download, in full, whole volumes of public domain books and readers with print disabilities will be able to request full book downloads on copyrighted items via the Accessible Resources Unit (ARACU). University card holders can log in to the HathiTrust website following the yellow login button at top right and enter Oxford into the box. Select University of Oxford to be redirected to the SSO login screen.
Access over 1.4 million e-books via SOLO. Filter results by Online Resources to find e-books that can be accessed offsite – look for the green Online access icon.
The library is working with publishers to provide lots of extra access to online resources during this period.
If you can't find a book available as an e-book, then we may be able to purchase one. Complete the book recommendation form to put in your request.
Access over 118,000 e-journal titles via SOLO. Filter results by Online Resources to show resources that can be accessed offsite – look for the green Online access icon.
We have added Browzine to SOLO. This new suite of tools improves access to journal article PDFs. It includes integration into SOLO, a standalone website and a browser plugin for Chrome to enable one-click downloads from around the Internet and when searching SOLO (including eLD articles which we have subscription access to).

Explore reading lists for a selection of courses across all divisions on ORLO, with access to scanned book chapters where available.

Bodleian Reader Card holders
The Bodleian Libraries Admissions Office has started to process renewal requests and this will be followed by a phased approach to accepting new card applications. Please look for updates on this page and our Twitter feed.

OUH NHS staff
Staff working in the OUH Trust can access a wide range of e-journals and other resources via NHS OpenAthens. Scan & Deliver services are also available. More information, including help, can be found on our NHS LibGuide.

Use SOLO to search physical and electronic items available across the University's libraries, including over a billion records for articles and other e-resources.
Filter by Open Access at the top of the left hand column of search results.
Alternatively, enter keywords and then on the results screen choose Open Access in the Show only section on the left-hand side.
ORA provides open access to a wide range of articles, dissertations and other papers by Oxford academics and research students. Over 56,000 complete works available.
Search and explore the Bodleian's collections on Digital Bodleian, with over 900,000 images of c.16,000 collection items.
The University of Oxford entered into partnership with Google to scan the Bodleian Libraries' out-of-copyright holdings. The initial phase of this work was completed in 2009, with several hundred thousand of our books being scanned and made available via Google Books.
