Antony Brewerton announced as new Associate Director for Academic Library Services, and Keeper of Collections at the Bodleian Libraries

The Bodleian Libraries are pleased to announce the appointment of Antony Brewerton as Associate Director for Academic Library Services and Keeper of Collections.

Antony will join the libraries in March from his current post as Head of Academic Services at Warwick University Library. Antony will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the Bodleian’s academic library services, including reading room operations, subject librarian network, special collections, public engagement and shared oversight of collection development.

On joining the Libraries, Antony said:

I am so pleased – and honoured – to be joining the Bodleian at this exciting time of strategic development.  Having read Modern History at Worcester College for my first degree, it also feels like coming home.

Richard Ovenden OBE, Bodley’s Librarian, said:

We are very excited to have Antony join us to help develop the Bodleian’s mission to support the research needs of students, scholars and the general public through our outstanding collections, evolving academic services, and our ambitious plans for public engagement.
