The Conservative Party Archive is one of the few special collections at the Bodleian Library which has its own dedicated archivist. As such, it is possible to provide preliminary advice and assistance to those considering a visit to the Bodleian to consult material from the CPA.

Enquiries are welcomed from those who by virtue of distance or disability are unable to visit the Bodleian in person. The CPA Archivist endeavours to answer all enquiries as quickly as possible, but at most within 3 days (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Unfortunately it is not possible to undertake detailed research into the CPA on your behalf. If you require this service then a list of independent researchers is maintained by The National Archives (for details, see here). Please note that anyone undertaking research at the Bodleian on your behalf would have to register as a Bodleian reader and make an appointment.
