In particular the researchers planned to measure the dynamic impact of industry collaboration on individual academic research output.

A database of performance statistics and trends in science providing citation rankings for scientists, institutions, countries, journals and papers. It uses citation data from Thomson Scientific-indexed journals (Web of Science). Types of data include highly cited papers, hot papers, most cited scientist rankings, institutional (university, corporate, government research lab) rankings, national rankings, and journal rankings.
