Help give women in science a place on Wikipedia

On Friday 26 October, the Radcliffe Science Library is hosting a Wikipedia ‘editathon’ to help improve information about women in science. The event is part of the Bodleian Libraries’ Open Access Week 2012 programme and follows on from the Royal Society Women in Science Wikipedia Workshop on 19 October.

The event is free to attend and open to all University members. No experience is required; the session will begin with a brief practical session on editing Wikipedia. To book a place, please visit

If you’re interested in participating but aren’t a part of the University, you can do so online. Radcliffe Science Library staff will be available to help on Friday afternoon, 2-5pm, via email and on Twitter (@radcliffescilib). Please visit the Wikimedia project page for details on how to get started. The hashtag for the event is #WomenSciWP.
