OULS Collection Management is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of two substantial electronic journal collections. Cambridge Journals (CUP) and Sage Journals Online between them offer full-text online access to almost 700 journal titles. As a significant addition, the entire Sage backfiles collection has also been acquired.
Cambridge Journals offer 211 titles covering most subject areas, including some very popular titles such as Cambridge Law Journal, Historical Journal, and Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology. Current access to the CUP titles starts from 1997.
With 452 titles, Sage Journals Online is particularly strong in the Social Sciences, as well as Theology and Medicine. Some of the renowned journals included are European Journal of International Relations, Journal for the Study of the Old Testament, and Journal for the Study of the New Testament. The Sage backfiles collection comprises 268 title runs, of which the oldest goes back to 1879.
All the journals are currently available via TDNet and will of course be searchable via the A-Z list of titles on the new SFX interface when it becomes operational later this autumn. A comprehensive list of all the new electronic resources that have been acquired in 2006-07 will be available soon.
With the exception of the Sage backfiles, these purchases were made possible, in part, owing to a financial contribution from the Colleges.
