e-Book Reader and iPad loans at the RSL

The Radcliffe Science Library is now experimenting with e-book readers as carriers for library materials.

Kindle-2We currently have two Kindles and a Sony Reader Touch in use.

The e-readers are available for loan to university card holders and may be borrowed for seven days.

NEW! New Kindle Content

The RSL has just added around 30 new e-book titles to our Kindle e-readers. These books have been selected to either add new content which the library does not currently own, or provide additional copies of popular titles which are in high demand. 

The new book selections range across the sciences and the titles available have been divided over the library’s two Kindle devices. Kindle 1 (RSL1) contains titles for maths, physical science, technology and geography. Kindle 2 (RSL2) contains titles for biomedical sciences, psychology and biochemistry.

Complete lists of the titles available can be downloaded as .pdf files from the links on the right. Please talk to a member of staff for further information on borrowing a Kindle from the RSL.

The RSL also has an iPad 2 available for loan to readers. A variety of scientific apps are pre-loaded onto it.
