Internal requests
The information on this page refers to requests from members of Oxford University and users of the libraries. Libraries, organisations and individuals from outside Oxford University should use our external Document Supply service. The forms on this page cannot be used for external requests.
The Science Libraries will endeavour to acquire any book or periodical article not available in Oxford. A list of charges is shown below.
The application form can be printed out and completed in advance, then taken to the library with payment.

Patents
Hard-to-find patents can be ordered though the British Library. However, the service is expensive so you should look on Scopus (available via OxLIP+) or try online patent services first.
Charges
(from 1st January 2012)
Oxford University card holders:
Only holders of current Oxford University (blue) cards are eligible for these subsidised rates. Non-members (holders of other cards) are charged the standard British Library charges shown below.
Copies made for commercial purposes are charged at the commercial rates shown in a separate table below.
This service is heavily subsidised by the library, and therefore we ask you to be selective in submitting your requests.

These charges are for readers who hold library cards issued by the Bodleian Libraries but are not full members of Oxford University.
