Access to material in the Archives
If you would like to consult any material from the Archives, please email us in advance of your visit with the full details of the material you would like to see and when you would hope to do so. Material from the Archives is made available in accordance with our Access Policy. Please be aware that we require advance notice of your visit so that the material can be brought to the reading room.
Material from the University Archives is consulted in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Reading Room in the Weston Library of the Bodleian Library: please see the Weston Library website for opening hours and the rules of the reading room. The Library's conditions of access apply and a Bodleian readers card is required, for which a charge may be made. Please see the Bodleian Admissions Office website for further information about obtaining a readers card. Readers consulting Archives material must comply with the rules of the reading room. We aim to make the material in the Archives accessible to all readers. Additional information regarding access arrangements for readers with disabilities can be found on the Bodleian Library website.
