Opening Hours

Note that opening hours may sometimes change at short notice. If travelling to visit a library you are advised to check with the library to confirm details.

Term time:

Mon-Fri: 9.00- 19.00 Saturday and Sunday: closed

Vacation:

Mon-Fri 9.00-17.00. Saturday and Sunday: closed NOTE: As of 19 September 2017 the Library operates its term-time opening hours : Monday - Friday 9.00 to 19.00!

Closed:

Christmas vacation: T.B.C. Closed on Bank Holidays only outside of Full Term and for the Christmas and New Year period. Open for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

Notes:

The Library offers: Photocopying, printing and scanning facilities, Wireless internet (Eduroam + in-house system), Lockers for personal belongings, Common room for readers' use, Water fountain. Please note that the Library is reference-only, and that books may not be borrowed. Please make sure to leave bags in the lockers provided and consume food and drink in the reader common room. Please note that smoking is not permitted on site.

In general, access to the Library is restricted to holders of a Bodleian Library Card for legitimate purposes of study. If from outside Oxford, a person must provide a letter of introduction from a tutor or an institution. For further information, email: librarian@oxcis.ac.uk

Classical Islamic Sciences (especially Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Kalam, and Sufism); Modern Islamic Studies including Modern Eastern and Asian Muslim Societies, Muslims in the West, and Modern Muslim Thinkers. All our books are searchable on SOLO.
