Upper and Lower Reading Rooms
Monday – Friday: 9am – 9pm
Saturday: 10am – 4pm
Sunday: 11am – 5pm
Duke Humfrey's Library
Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm
Encaenia Day
On Wednesday 25 June the Bodleian Old Library will be closed until 2pm for Encaenia. The library will only receive an afternoon book delivery on this day, which falls outside the critical times.

About the library
The Bodleian Old Library is one of the oldest libraries in Europe. Part of the larger Bodleian Library complex, it is connected to the Radcliffe Camera by the underground Gladstone Link. It has three historic reading rooms: the Lower Reading Room, the Upper Reading Room and Duke Humfrey’s Library.
