The library holds about 20,000 books 12,000 pamphlets (not for loan) and 300 journal titles (not for loan), of which about 150 are current, on the subject of Archaeology and Anthropology, especially material on Culture including Art and Traditional Music.
The Social Science Library collects material also of interest to anthropologists, including works on development, economics, research methods and sociology.
The Radcliffe Science Library holds some medical and biological/physical anthropology material.
The library supports the study of Latin American politics, economics, social sciences and history. Situated in the Latin American Centre (LAC), St Antony's College, it is open to all members of the University.
The Bodleian Oriental Institute Library is located within the Oriental Institute of the University of Oxford. The Library is primarily intended to meet the needs of the Faculty of Oriental Studies teachers and students, with its core collections comprising of Islamic, South Asian and Jewish Studies.
