About Us

The Taylor Institution (commonly known as the Taylorian) is the University's centre for the study of Modern European languages and literatures, other than English.

As well as our West and East European collections, the library houses collections for Linguistics, Film Studies, and Women's Studies.

Further information about our collections can be found on the relevant East or West European collections pages. You can also browse our subject guides (opens in new window) for Modern Languages, created by your specialist librarians to help you make the most of the library resources in your area.

For a more detailed introduction to the Taylor, please view our Virtual Tour (opens in new window). Feel free to contact us with any queries.
