• All those reading and teaching English at Oxford are entitled to register as borrowers. New English undergraduates and taught postgraduates are automatically pre-registered as members of the EFL.
• Other members of the University who need to access the library's collections for academic purposes are welcome to register as borrowers. To register, readers must bring their University card to the Issue Desk.
• External readers are welcome to use the library for reference purposes in the vacations. Please consult the following Bodleian Libraries web page for further details: Admissions  
• Access to special collections is permitted at any time by prior arrangement with the Librarian.
