Productions shot at the Bodleian

Here are some of the films that have been made at the Bodleian Library:

X-Men 4

This film used one of our quadrangles as a location.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets & Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Duke Humfrey's Library was used as the Hogwarts library and the Divinity School as the infirmary. 

The Golden Compass

The Bodleian was used in the first film of Philip Pullman's trilogy 'His Dark Materials' starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman.

Lewis 

Drama starring Kevin Whately.

Monarchy

A television documentary series with David Starkey.

12 Books that Changed the World 

Featuring Melvyn Bragg.

The History Boys

An Alan Bennett film starring Richard Griffiths and Francis de la Tour.

William and Mary

A TV comedy series starring Martin Clunes and Julie Graham.

Pocahontas: The New World

Film starring Colin Farrell.

Inspector Morse
