Celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding in 1619 of the Savilian Chair of Geometry by Sir Henry Savile, Warden of Merton College, with talks on the professors from Henry Briggs, co-inventor of logarithms, and Edmond Halley of comet fame, to the present day. The event is organised with the British Society for the History of Mathematics.
