Blackwell Hall, Weston Library (Map)

A small display of music manuscripts from the Bodleian's collections to celebrate this year's Oxford Lieder Festival, the focus of which is the composer Robert Schumann. The present display ties in with the Festival's 'Bach Day' when the influence of Johann Sebastian Bach on the members of Schumann's circle is explored, along with their efforts to revive interest in the music of their great idol.
