Richard Hakluyt's Principall Navigations Voiages and Discoveries of the English Nation (1589) is one of the most important collections of travel writing ever published, at a key moment in European and English exploration of the world.  A conference jointly hosted on 24 November at the Weston Library and on 25 November at Christ Church, Oxford, hosts renowned experts on Hakluyt and early modern travel and exploration.


Tickets for the two-day conference are £100 or £60 for members of Hakluyt Society and postgraduate students.
