A seminar series with a book display organized by the Taylor Institution Library.

This talk will introduce Kelabit - an Austronesian language spoken on the island of Borneo, Indonesia and in Sarawak, Malaysia. Dr Hemmings will discuss results of the fieldwork she undertook for her PhD. She started documenting Kelabit and will speak about some interesting linguistic aspects of Kelabit and also about her experience of documenting an endangered language.
