Thomas Bodley's history trail

Discover the Library’s history with your family through Thomas Bodley’s History Trail, ten quiz questions to guide you through the external quadrangles, the beautiful Divinity School, the Sheldonian Theatre and the Weston Library.

Prices: A History Trail costs £1 per trail and we recommend you purchase this with either individual entry to the Divinity School (£2 per person) or a family ticket to visit the Divinity School. (£5 for a family of 2 adults and up to 3 children).

Duration: Approximately 40 minutes

Please ask for details from a member of our staff in the ticket office at the main entrance to the Old Bodleian Library.

Visiting the Weston Library 

The Weston Library houses exhibitions, displays, a public café and the Zvi Meitar Bodleian Shop.

We welcome children of all ages. Exhibition entry is free of charge, and we have accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities next to the café. The Weston Library is accessible by ramp from Broad Street, and pushchairs are welcome in the galleries.
