Readers are encouraged to disclose their disabilities to the Disability Advisory Service in order to make full use of the extra library support available. After you have contacted the Disability Advisory Service they can make an official referral to the Libraries. As part of the referral the Disability Advisory Service or the Bodleian Libraries Disability Librarian, Teresa Pedroso, liaises with the SSL Disability Contact and advises on any specific needs that may be supported by the library.

The SSL Disability Contact will email the reader with information on support available, and will also invite him/her to meet to discuss further requirements. Many disabled readers are given enhanced library membership (see Services). Library staff are made aware of any specific provision through the notes fields on the borrower record.
