Philosophy and Theology Faculties Library books are catalogued on SOLO (Oxford Libraries Information Service) which provides information on an item's location, circulation status and availability. SOLO is the search and discovery tool for the Oxford Libraries and catalogue searches can be made using SOLO's simple search box. When you have found the shelfmark of the item follow the classification sequence to find the item (map of the library). A detailed overview of the classification scheme at PTFL can be viewed here.
Closed Stack items may be requested to the library via SOLO and an email will be sent when the item has arrived in the library. There is one delivery a day to PTFL, usually in the afternoon. A guide to this process is available here.
Philosophy and Theology Faculties Library does not hold hard copies of journals. Journals are catalogued on SOLO and searches can be made using the simple search box or via OU e-Journals. University members are able to access the full text by signing in to SOLO using their Single Sign-On. Hard copies of journals are kept in the Bodleian Library.
