Two Paper Conservation Technicians

The paper conservators and technicians undertake conservation treatments to stabilize the condition of works on paper and other materials such as parchment and papyrus, as well as various formats including oriental scrolls and East Asian thread bindings. The conservators have particular expertise in treating vulnerable media and researching the materials and techniques used to create the painted surface.

For internal conservation requests, use the Conservation Request Form on the staff intranet.  Order folders, boxes and more through the Packaging and Display Service (PADS).
Support conservation at the Bodleian Libraries. Need conservation advice? Look for a conservator in the ICON Conservation Register.
