Essential exploratory work related to the Bodleian Law Library's roof will take place between 7 and 15 December. Contractors will be carrying out tests to investigate the possibility of future work to improve light and ventilation and to make the roof water-tight.
This exploratory work will cause some temporary disruption on the Gallery Floor where a scaffold will be erected on Saturday 8 December and dismantled on Saturday 15 December.
There is likely to be some intermittent noise disturbance from Monday 10 December to Friday 14 December, which will affect the Gallery (Level 3) and Main Reading Room (Level 2).
We expect the two lower floors of the library to be undisturbed and library staff will be able to offer advice on alternative places to work.
The Law Library staff apologise for any inconvenience caused by this work.
