Librarian awarded prestigious prize

BLL_photos_009_smallMargaret Watson, Academic Services Librarian in the Bodleian Law Library, was awarded the Helen Greer prize at the annual conference of the European Information Association (EIA) in Chester last week. The award acknowledges ‘a European Documentation Centre or European Reference Centre librarian who has made a particularly outstanding contribution to EDC/ERC librarianship’.

Margaret is currently EIA Committee member, and the UK EDC (European Documentation Centres) Coordinator.

Ruth Bird, Bodleian Law Librarian, said: ‘We are thrilled that Margaret was awarded this international prize in recognition of her hard work and ongoing commitment to improving access to EU information. We're proud of her excellent contribution to the promotion of the role of EDC (European Documentation Centres) such as ours in the Bodleian Law Library.’
