Photocopying, Scanning and Printing

Due to a software upgrade PCAS may be unavailable for 30 minutes between 09:00-09:00 on Tuesday 22 May.  Individual devices will be rebooted throughout the day and be unavailable for up to 60 minutes.

How do I set up an account?

PCAS accounts use Bodleian Libraries username and password (which is also used to login to reading room PCs and Bodleian Libraries WiFi). View information about this account is available from:

You can add credit to your account (using your credit or debit card) by visiting PCAS Webpay or request cash tops at libraries which handle cash, and using the cash loader at the Main Enquiry Desk in the Bodleian Library.

Please note: setting up a PCAS account does not guarantee access to the Bodleian Libraries. Admission is only for holders of a valid Library card.

How do I photocopy, scan or print?


Printing from computers is also managed by the PCAS system. You can pay for prints using your PCAS account. Prints can be collected from any copier/printer in any of the Bodleian Libraries. Log onto the copier/printer with your PCAS username/password and all print jobs sent to your account will be waiting for you. Print jobs are purged after 72 hours.

Laptop and remote printing system

RemotePrint is a web based system that allows you to send print jobs from your laptop, home PC and mobile phone to PCAS.  You can then collect your printing at any of the Bodleian Libraries copiers/printers.

Where are the self-service machines located? 

The Bodleian Music Faculty Library has two machines for printing/scanning/copying in the Photocopy Room on the lower ground floor.
