Our collections include a fine and extensive Rabbinic library, unique in Europe, with the Louis Jacobs and the Montefiore collections at its core, and complemented by the Kressel, Elkoshi and Hugo Gryn collections. As part of the Coppenhagen Collection, there is also a wide-ranging group of books on Dutch Jewry, the largest in Europe outside the Low Countries. Modern Jewish History is well covered. A unique resource are the Yizkor books, the largest set of its kind in Europe. The library holds a large fund of modern and contemporary Hebrew literature. Yiddish literature is well represented, particularly with regard to works produced in South Africa.
The Library holds many journals and periodicals which are not yet searchable on SOLO. In the meantime, here is a list of the non-Hebrew/non-Yiddish periodicals that we hold: Periodicals Leopold Muller Memorial Library. We get many questions about which periodicals we have and this list will enable readers to search through our holdings themselves. In the first instance SOLO is still the best place to start your search. If you are unable to find what you need please do get in touch with Library Staff: firstname.lastname@example.org
