The John Johnson Collection came to the Bodleian from the Oxford University Press in 1968. There was a major exhibtiion in 1971, showcasing the Collection. The catalogue, written by the first curator of the Collection, Michael Turner, remains the authoritative work on John Johnson and the formation of his Collection.
