Coming up at the Knowledge Centre (the library based in the Old Road Campus Research Building):
We are running hour long training sessions to provide brief introductions to Mendeley and Endnote X7 for staff and students. Mendeley is a freely available from www.mendeley.com. Endnote X7 is a popular reference management programme, and is available on the university network. Both programmes let you store, organise and retrieve your references and PDFs, cite references in your dissertations and articles, as well as produce bibliographies and reading lists in the style of your choice. This will save you a lot of time and energy, and after one hour we may well have changed your life…
At the end of either session, you’ll be able to import references from PubMed and Google Scholar, manage PDFs, deduplicate references, and be able to cite references in Word documents.
N.B. The Mendeley session will include tips on transferring references from Endnote > Mendeley, and vice versa.
Please email at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for one of the following sessions:
- MENDELEY: 2pm Tuesday 23rd September @ Knowledge Centre Group Study Room
- ENDNOTE X7: 2pm Thursday 25th September @ Knowledge Centre Group Study Room
Sessions will be repeated, depending on demand!
