Do you use 'Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference'?

For many years we have subscribed to the online version of Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference. However, in recent years, statistics we receive from the publisher have shown a very significant drop in usage. In 2018 there were fewer than 500 downloads across the Oxford domain compared to over 2,000 in 2017. We have queried these numbers with the publisher but have been assured that they are correct. Based on these figures and on the renewal quote we have received this means that in 2020 each download would cost the University several hundred pounds.

We are therefore considering this title as a candidate for cancellation. However, in case the figures supplied to us are incorrect, we would like to take advice from our colleagues across the Division to get an impression of how much this resource is used in teaching and research here in Oxford.

If you are an active user of Martindale in any aspect of your work or studies then we would be very grateful if you would contact our collections manager Edina Pillok (edina.pillok@bodleian.ox.ac.uk). We would also like to hear from you if have used Martindale in the past but now use an alternative product.
