How do I replace a lost or stolen Bodleian Reader Card?
The process for the replacement of a lost or stolen Bodleian Reader Card is the same as for a first-time application or renewal. Readers will need to complete a Bodleian Librariesí Admission Form, and to bring this to the Admissions Office in person, along with one form of personal identification and one form of proof of address.
There is a standard £6 charge for the replacement of a lost Bodleian Reader Card.
In the case of a stolen Bodleian Reader Card, we are able to issue a replacement card free of charge if we are provided with a crime reference number issued from the police services.
How do I replace a lost or stolen (blue) University of Oxford Student or Staff Card?
If you are currently a member of staff or a student at the University of Oxford and your (blue) University card is lost, stolen or damaged, you should immediately inform your College (for students) or Faculty/Department, or institution administrator (in the case of staff). They will advise you as to how to proceed, and will organize a replacement card via the University Card Office.

The Bodleian Librariesí Admissions Office is unable to issue replacement University Cards. While you are waiting for a replacement University Card to be issued and sent to your College, Faculty/Department or institution, you may be unable to access the Bodleian Libraries; if that is the case, you may come to the Bodleian Librariesí Admissions Office during our opening hours so that we can issue you with a temporary day pass in order to provide access to the Libraries in the meantime.
