Building Work: Radcliffe Camera Summer 2010

2 June 2010

Enabling work* related to the Underground Bookstore and Old Bodleian Access Project will begin in June in front of the Radcliffe Camera, to the left of the main entrance. The work will take approximately four weeks to complete. Noise levels will be kept to a minimum but it is inevitable that the reading rooms will be affected: we will alert you in advance to any particularly noisy phases of the work.

We will post further information about this project as it develops and the impact that it will have on readers working in the Camera over the summer.

The Library apologises for this short term inconvenience whilst we move ahead with vital estates projects. Please see for further information about transforming our libraries or contact if you have any specific questions about the work.

*Planning permission and listed building consent for this enabling work was received by the Library on 24 May 2010.
