How do I connect my device to WiFi?

You may connect to Wi-Fi in many libraries and other  locations across the University using the Eduroam WiFi network.   In addition the Bodleian Libraries has its own WiFi network.

Bodleian Libraries network

  1. Select the 'Bodleian-Libraries' network from the list of available wireless networks.
  2. When you open a web browser, you will be prompted to enter your barcode number (this is your Bodleian Libraries username) and your Bodleian Libraries password. 


Eduroam is the only widely available University WiFi network which allows you to save your login details and connect automatically.

If you wish to connect to the Eduroam WiFi network you will need to register for a 'remote access' username and password.

To connect to Eduroam:

  1. Select 'Eduroam' from the list of available wireless networks.
  2. Under settings, enter your remote access/SSO username with the extension (e.g. and your remote access password.
