Exploring the Canonici collection

This two-day conference celebrates the arrival of manuscripts from the collection of Jesuit Matteo Luigi Canonici in Venice.

In order to stimulate interdisciplinary research, various topics will be discussed by international scholars in provenance and history of libraries, music, liturgy, Italian and humanistic literature, medical texts, Greek, Hebrew and French manuscripts, palaeography and manuscript illumination.

Venue and time:
  • 24 November - Weston Library, Lecture Theatre
  • 25 November - Lincoln College, Oakeshott Room

The conference runs 9am-6pm on both days.
