Radcliffe Science Library

10.30am-2pm

The Radcliffe Science Library will be open to the public as part of Oxford Open Doors 2016. There will be displays from the collections in the Entrance Hall/Lounge, plus a 3D-printing demonstration and building tours.

Sunday 11 September

Divinity School

11am-5pm

Enjoy free access to the Libraries' spectacular Divinity School as part of Oxford Open Doors 2016.

Bodleian Library - hand-press printing workshop

12-3pm

The Bodleian's hand-press printing workshop will also be open 12-3pm during Oxford Open Doors. Access is from the Old Schools Quadrangle in the Old Bodleian Library, through the door marked 'Schola Musicae', next to the Bodleian Shop in the Old Library.

Visitors can see a demonstration of setting type and printing on a hand-press, the process initiated by Gutenberg. The Bodleian's five iron hand-operated printing presses will be on display, along with a selection of type. No need to book, just drop in.

vOx choir

3-3.30pm

One of Oxford's leading chamber choirs directed by conductor, David Crown, vOx sings challenging, mostly a cappella works from the Renaissance through to contemporary, with a continuing focus on excellence in singing and choral technique.

Members are all experienced singers and travel from across Oxfordshire and further afield to other South East England & Midland counties. As well as being hardworking and focused, vOx maintains a warm, friendly atmosphere in which every member is valued.
