Description

A dancer's response to the Weston Library space, in a performance of classical Indian dance. The opening of the Weston Library reveals beautiful books and documents of significance, with surprising connections across time and space. 

Dr Menaka PP Bora, Affiliated Artist at the Bodleian Libraries, is an award-winning Indian classical dance soloist, choreographer and ethnomusicologist. She has played an instrumental role in research, development and popularization of the 15th century Indian classical Sattriya dance and music while working with traditional mentors and musicians at the grass roots in the Hindu monasteries of Assam in north-east India.
