An illustrated lecture on love of fine binding and the perils of collecting.

Mirjam Foot is Emeritus Professor of Library & Archive Studies at UCL. She is the author of many books and articles on the history of bookbinding, including Studies in the History of Bookbinding (1993); The History of Decorated Bookbinding in England (with Howard Nixon, 1992); and The History of Bookbinding as a Mirror of Society (1998).
