Reopened: Duke Humfrey's Library temporary closure - 10-26 July

27 July 2015

Update

Duke Humfrey's Library has reopened to readers after a short period of closure for conservation and cleaning work on the volumes in the bays.

From Friday 10 July-Sunday 26 July inclusive Duke Humfrey's Library will be temporarily closed.

This is to allow the Bodleian Library to undertake necessary electrical works and also to undertake a conservation assessment and clean of all the volumes in the bays (books in Arts End were cleaned in 2013). Once the works are complete we will reopen the room, including the bays, to readers on Monday 27 July.

All material kept in Duke Humfrey's Library will still be available during the closure: staff will fetch open shelf material kept in Selden End to the Upper or Lower reading rooms as required. Please submit orders at the staff desk in the URR or at the Main Enquiry Desk in the LRR. Special Collections material will be fetched to the Weston Library as usual.

Please check this page for updates.

We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
