ADVERSE WEATHER: Library opening times on Friday, 6 February: 11.30am UPDATE

We are aiming to keep the OULS Libraries open as much as possible given the weather conditions in Oxford today.

The following OULS libraries are open for their normal hours today, Friday 6th February:

  • Bodleian Library of Commonwealth and African Studies
  • Chinese Studies Library
  • Continuing Education Library
  • Education Library
  • English Faculty Library
  • Health Care Libraries
  • History Faculty Library
  • Music Faculty Library
  • Oriental Institute Library
  • Philosophy Faculty Library
  • Plant Sciences Library
  • Said Business School Library
  • Slavonic Library (TABS)
  • Taylor Institution Library
  • Theology Faculty Library
  • Vere Harmsworth Library
  • Zoology Library

The following libraries will close earlier than normal:

  • Bodleian Law Library - at 7pm
  • Sackler Library - at 8pm
  • Social Science Library - at 7pm

The following libraries are currently open as normal, please check this website for
today's closing times, which have not been finalised
:

  • central Bodleian Library (Old Library, New Library, Radcliffe Camera) - will be open until at least 5pm
  • Bodleian Japanese Library - will be open until at least 5pm
  • Latin American Centre Library (please contact LAC)
  • Radcliffe Science Library - will be open until at least 7pm
  • Refugee Studies Centre Library

If your usual library needs to close early, you are welcome to use our reading rooms in other locations.  In particular, we have the most seats in some of the larger facilities like the Radcliffe Science Library and the central Bodleian reading rooms. Our web site (wwww.bodleian.ox.ac.uk) and electronic resources remain available whatever the weather conditions.
