Access to the Taylor by University card only from Monday 14th November
Access control is intended to start at the Taylor Institution on the afternoon of Monday 14th November, when the press-to-enter button on the metal pillar outside the St Giles' doors is removed.
From then on, entrance to the building will be by valid University or Bodleian card. Anyone wishing to use the library or to attend seminars will need to place their card on or near the proximity sensor on the metal pillar.
If a card doesn't work for any reason, there is a call button on the pillar that rings through to the Premises Team in the lodge.
Access to public events will be managed by the Premises Team.
Opening the doors to leave the building remains the same - pressing the green button to the left of the St Giles' doors.
If there is any change to the timing of the implementation of access control, a message will be posted on the Taylor home page: http://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/taylor.
Once access control starts, feedback on any problems that arise will be invaluable.
If you have questions about the introduction of access control at the Taylor, or would like to give feedback, please contact the Operations Manager, Frank Egerton: firstname.lastname@example.org.
